This is the opportunity to witness some of the best Ecuador has to offer. You will discover the most outstanding and varied landscapes, the most important natural parks, and at the same time encounter a fascinating glimpse of Andean and Amazonian rural life. Llamas will carry your equipment during some of our hikes and our private vehicle will return you to a comfortable hotel or hacienda.

Our signature trek of which we are the most proud is our llama trek: A unique 5 day trek that covers the most important elements of the Llanganates Mountains where, legend says, the fabulous Inca treasure is buried. The Llanganates are also one of the most beautiful and untouched areas of Ecuadorian páramo. Our llamas are proprietary to Exploaventure and trekking with them is an experience you will not soon forget.

Mountain

Volcano Trek: Hike along the Tambo River on the slopes of the Antisana Mountain and feel the thrill of descending to the lagoon in its crater. Climb up to 4500m crossing mountain creeks, cloud forests, and native flora under the blue sky with condors flying overhead. Watch cattle and sheep herds and an impressive animal cemetery. Trek through the Cotopaxi National Park and admire falcons, hummingbirds, wolves, wild horses, as well as the stunning view of the Cotopaxi Volcano.

For those experienced mountain climbers discover the snow-capped volcanoes such as Cotopaxi (5897m or 19,300 ft) or Chimborazo (6268m or 20,500 ft)

Jungle Experience

Our rain forests cover an approximate area of 138,000 square km which is about 48% of our national territory. Most of these areas are sparsely pupulated but profoundly rich in ecological diversity. Come visit the lungs of mother earth and step back in time a few centuries.
